I hate saturday nights. while every cab driver is looking forward to this night I hate it. lots of drunk and yellow cabs tend to break down a lot on this night. anyways. this saturday was hillarious
It was around 11pm and I was already exhausted and was actually looking forward for some nice trip to be done with my shift. A couple I took from 6th ave & bleecker and they were going to 77 & madison. guy was a little drunk. he paid me on credit card but at the end there came an error message on the screen but his card was charged & I was pissed at $0 tip. I thought to my self it must be becoz I stopped his wife from smoking in the cab. but he didnt kno what had happend and handed me a $20. told me he would like 5 dollars in change. Now I knew he was drunk and thought to my self may be he is not tipping me $15 he is thinking to pay me so I asked him you need change? he said,"well the bill is 15 with tip so give me 5 back". I told him no you already paid me with the card. "no I didnt" he insisted, "ur machine gave an error" and went on to actually read aloud the error message. I assured him that his card is charged so I cant take his money. his wife was gone and he kept talking and I had to reassure him that his card was charged so I cant charge him twice for the same ride. on his way rather thankew he asked me "i didnt leave u a tip? did i?" I said, "no you didnt"
him,"well then you need to fix your stupid machine so ppls can tip you, u know?"
me in my head yeah yeah u r too drunk just get home safely n leave me to get another drunk.
on his way out there came another drunk couple, he greeted them "hi"
now the drunk couple got in and started arguing
man,"who was he? a friend of yours?"
woman,"I dont kno"
man,"why did he say hello?"
woman,"he said hello to both of us"
man,"should we have stopped fro him?"
woman,"i said I dont kno him"
man,"so he is your friend?
woman,"he said hello to both of us"
I was pissed at the first drunk guy but on this I was trying hard not to laugh out loudly.

Gay Cop
2 weeks ago. I was going up on avenue of center st when a guy hailed me over. his friend came from behind him. they were going to 6th ave & 4th st, as soon as they gave me destination they started kissing. they were a gay couple. a guy who in a couple you would call husband was in his late 30s or early 40s. the other was real young. just like out of college or something. may be in his 20s. they were kissing very pationately making all those noises and for a straight guy they really were handful.
i kept driving and they started arguing and comparing different things. younger guy was actually kinda abusive but it was none of my business. at their destination I stopped. the the elder guy insisted to the younger guy to pay. younger guy asked me twice how much is it? i told him 6:xx. he said, "its 7 buck you bitch" now I wasnt sure he was talking to me or his partner who was insisting he should pay. before giving me a 50 cent tip on credit card he asked his partner, "y i am suppose to pay this cab you make 120,000 while i only make 50k a year."?
i saw 50cent tip n was kinda upset but said nothing. now the younger guy went outside n older was still sitting. usually i take it as they wanted the reciept. so after reciept finished printing i turned to give it to him and there he was holding his badge out in his hand showing me. while i gave him the reciept he said,"good job, you were very patient."
for the next 5 minutes i was wondering and kinda still am. why did he show me his badge?

wtf?
it seems I am extremely biased towards indians. I am not. but one thing I am pretty sure. soon indian prime minister will announce in a speech that indians have been to white house but its still hard for them to catch a cab in nyc. just read these two incidents and correct me if I am wrong.
first at jfk terminal 7: an indian guy with wife and kid, he wanted to go to 17th street & 2nd ave. once we were on van wyck expressway he asked if I could take williams burgh bridge? I politely refused as its way out of way. first you go down south and then come up north? just so you can save toll?
he repeated "out of way" in a surprised tone. offered me "i can pay you the toll money."
I said politely, "no lets pay it to the gov."
at the destination he gave me zero dollars tip on a credit card. I turned back. took a good look at him and thanked him twice. I dont know if he was nervous or what he threw pen down from the window. god bless his soul may be he was broke or what.
2nd two young indian guys. asked me about a budha restaurant.
I said,"no I dont kno, you have to give me the address."
one said." 75th & 9th."
me,"you mean 75th st & columbus?"
him,"yeah yes."
once at 75th he asked me again if I know the restaurant. I said no you can look around. him called come body got the address on his cell phone and said its between 16th and 17th street. I felt this is going to get ugly. these guys dont know what they are doing. well after fighting my way through the horrible traffic getting out of the city for july 4th vacation I went down. once outside the bar. which happend to be chesea markete & not budha restaurant. he made sure that his campanion is inside the chelsea markete door then handed me 5 dollar bill while the fare was $18. I thought may be he made a mistake and wanted to give me a 20 rather 5 so I yelled hey its a 5 but he didnt listen to me I honked and came out of the cab. followed him by saying hey excuse me, now every body else was looking at me but him. he played as if he is busy on his ph but hurridly went inside the door I went after him but too late he was gone. what a looser cheap indian.

Your Actions tell What kind of Person YOU are.
Yesterday: A girl hailed me on 9th and 72nd. asked me thompson st & spring st. as soon as I took the 65 street transverse. she kept quite when I didnt turn on 9th she kept quite when I was in the turning lane into 65 st crossing but she went on after I was in the park.
her," we are going to west side. why are you taking this? you dont have to go across park."
me," you are going to thompson & spring, right?"
her,"yes, but thats on west side. I know, I take cab every morning."
me," ok how you would have gone?"
her," you could have taken 10th ave you could take west side highway down but you dont have to go across park to east."
me laughing," westside highway is simply out of your way and do you know 10th ave goes uptown?"
her," well you could have taken 9th ave or you could take 8th ave or you could take 7th ave"
me,"what? 9th at this hour? you know 9th has tunnel traffic and 8th ave goes uptown and 7th has times sq? nobody wants to go through times sq."
her," no times sq is on 8th ave."
me,"miss times sq is on 7th ave."
when she insisted in an aggressive tone. I pulled over as soon as I was out on 5th ave and told her ride is free if she walks out right now and take another cab. or better she can ask the cop in front of us. she refused to ask the cop and agreed to continue on.
at washington sq park I told her that thompson should not be on our left if she was right. she said she had mixed up 9th & 7th ave. still didnt apologise. gave me 2 dollars on a 21 dollars ride.
today I took a couple they had a child, a girl of 3 or 4. they were going to 13th st & 2nd ave. once on van wyck guy asked me

Cabbie Accused of Rape
A few nights ago, I think Tuesday night I had a row of words with another cab driver. he squeezed his cab between mine and another cab on 3rd ave, basically he came from parking lane to infront of my cab and I had to struggle to save hitting him. on the next light I asked him what he was doing and whats wrong with him? he started smart and abused, called names but thing made me wonder was he had a white female passenger in the back and he said & I quote, " I am gona f*** this woman and I am gona come fuck you." I wondered what the poor woman has to do with any of it? I tried to tell the woman but her window was rolled up and she seemed upset with her driver's behavior. Well we went down our ways and I turned to 58th street to upper level queens borough bridge. he came back and again as we were cruising he waived as if he is going to f***. at the jackson ave light he again tried to say something but I managed to make that light but wasnt so lucky on the next one. now he again rolled down his window and said the same thing and I quote. " I am going to f*** this woman in queens village and I will come back for you in queens."
Now I wouldnt pay him much attention as I know most of the peoples from my origion are indeed a lion in their own dunghill. but a news made me wonder if its the same guy as or knows the guy in this incident.

this guy seems a sikh, the guy I had words with was definitely a punjabi & probably a sikh. he was clean shaved and had no turban but looks can be deceiving?
I am undecided wether to inform police about my little incident and would this be any help or police would just think I am trying to give trouble to another cabbie from whom I had faced road rage? I will tip off police If only they had mentioned what kind of cab she took? hybrid or non hybrid? model etc as I definitely dont want to tip off any innocent person.

How much to tip a NYC Cab Driver / Taxi Driver?
This is the most asked question to me in my cab I always answered you can tip whatever you like because of the fear that they would think I am asking myself to tip. I dont wana ask tip I admit tip makes me very happy in these days of 3.75 dollars a gallone gas price but still I dont wana ask. since peoples ask this one question so much I answered a few of them who insisted even after my usuall answer.
first guy we chat a bit and when he asked this. I told him the same. he said I am new to town so dont kno. I told him its easy if you are happy with the service 20% if not pay less or dont pay at all depeding on the condition. he said "are you saying because you want 20%?" that I didnt like. I didnt ask you for tip you asked me and I told you. anyways he gave me 25%.
Second an indian girl I picked her up at JFK. she dropped one of her bag for me to lift and put in the trunk. asked me to carry her other smaller bag inside the back seat. I politely told her no becoz usually when the pull the bag they rip the seat covers (and TLC Inspection is every 4 months.)
well she came towards me, saw the trunk and said "wow, oh my god, its huge" I was wondering if she had never seen a crown victoria? again she left the bag on the ground for me to pick it up and put in the trunk while telling me "be careful it has my laptop in it."
I dropped her somewhere in 50s I blv. she asked me same question. I told her my usuall answer. she insisted. I told her its 20%. she said how much that would be coz she doesnt have a calculator. I told her 9 dollars and she said well I am gona give you 7. again why would you ask if you had decided something else?
once a friend of mine picked up 3 ladies from a hotel. they were going from one hotel to another so they checked out. one of the women gave $50 dollars to the doorman. other asked why she said I read to give 20% so I gave him 50 dollars. at the end of the ride meter showed around 18+ they gave him $20 and left. why they wouldnt tip a cab driver 20%?

3 Passengers Made Me Wondering.
Often Passengers do or say something so strange that keeps me wondering for days what they were even thinking? well last night was no different. I had 3 passengers kept me wondering were they even serious?
First Passenger, A male & Female.
Girl: I want another snow storm.
Guy: Yeah I want another blizzard. A complete whiteout (girl says yeah while guy continues) where a lot of peoples die.
I looked him for a brief moment in my back mirror with disbelieve and sigh, girl went quite and so did the guy. why would you wish for other peoples to die?
Second Passenger, A male.
He was standing on north east corner of 52nd and 5th ave. there were construction so left most lane was blocked and made one way into 52nd with cones. he got in and said 53rd and madisson.
I told him its just one block you wana walk? he said oh no I mean 37th and 10th.
so I was forced now into 52 and he asked why are you going this way?
now I was wondering is he even serious? he told me 53 and after I corrected him he is still asking me the question?
Third Passenger, 4 Females from Fordham University.
the one who was suppose to babysit. I call baby sit the one who sits infront with me and answer all the silly questions over & over again by the other 3.
She said, "441 E Fordham Road its only 30 blocks from here."
Now I am a cab driver and I sure know there is no fordham road in 30 block radius from 52nd street. so why would you lie to me? despite me telling her that I got her destination she kept insisting finding driving directions on her fone, it was probably verizon fone and wanted a starting address.

Guess Me!
I took a couple they wanted me to drop them off at a good desi food restaurant. I asked them if they were Indian or Pakistani, it was just a question to decide where to drop them coz Indians restaurant use mild or no spice while we like it hot but the guy said one of us is from Pakistan and one of us is from India so you guess who is from where?
I told him I will tell him by the end of the ride, I thougt that clearly they will give me hint coz there is a slight difference in speaking Urdu/Hindi but they both talked more like Urdu speaking so It was hard to guess.
Once I reached their destination he used his credit card and gave me 4 dollars in tip and I yelled you sir are from Pakistan. He was amazed, admitted he was from Karachi, Pakistan and asked how did I guess? I told him coz had he had been Indian he never would had given me 4 dollars in tip, they don't even tip that much to airports even when their company is paying for them.
We laughed on this and off they went to their hot n spicy food

Queens "Bra" Bridge
I was dropping a passenger on 6th ave when an indian guy opened my door. handed me his cellphone and said. do you know this address? it was either a garmin phone or a droid phone but I think hearing it giving instruciton it was a garmin phone.
screen had directions for 72-33 37th ave queens.
I said, " yeah if this is the address I can take you there".
he said you know "kabab king" ? I
I asked, "in jackson heights?"
he answered, "in queens."
me, "yeah there is one in jackson heights I can take you there."
they hopped in.
since we were in 50's so I started going towards 59street bridge. as soon as I was on central park south he took out his cell phone and said out loudly "my phone is showing me directions"

I assured him I am well aware of where he was going. dropped him off there and bought myself a nice chicken over rice platter.

Indians
If you have read my blog long enough I will seem pretty biased towards indians but that isnt the case. indians always manage to offend me in one way or other but I do ignore small offences but some of them are so much into poking that I cant help it. I still keep quite but overall they lower the respect for indians.
2 days ago I dropped somebody and was planning to move and look for another passenger. before moving my car I always look into the side mirror and back mirros so I dont accidently run over any body. I noticed an indian guy. I didnt want to take him becoz seeing a familiar face lead them to ask so many nonsence questions and poking stuff so its better to avoid. but I could see in my back mirror that he was limping. I have one simple rule. never ignore some body with any kind of disability or older peoples coz not many other cab drivers are willing to take them. when some older peoples or disable person is getting in my car I always put the gear into parking and tell them "take your time, no rush" coz I can understand and dont want them to be uncomfortable and try to hurry just because mr cabbie will say something harsh.
so I took that indian guy. he came to my window asked me how much to hoboken I told him 45 plus tolls. he thought for a while and said ok.
the asked "why you guys charge so much?"
Me: "becoz we cant pick some body in jersey"
him."will you make it 50 even?"
me "no I cant"
I usually charge 50 plus toll so its 58 I get tip on top of that so its always 65 and some change. he was asking to knock another 3 buck while it had already 12 knocked off.
him,"where you from?"
me. "pakistan"
him, "oh you see they fixed the match?"
now seriously? its always they bring something up some pakistani guy had done something embarrasing and they want you to talk abt it. I have a better response if u poke much n thats wtf. I wana drive you and get my money thats simple so stop offending me.
me, "no i dont follow cricket" while very quitely
him."oh you dont watch cricket"
then we were quite until I was in tunnel he started talking about just cricket and normal stuff and about india and this and that. then he bombed another question.
him."are these drone attacks affecting normal pakistani peoples?"
me,"just as much as indian forces attack on kashmir's peoples."
he went quite for a moment and then started saying thing against borders and politicians and armies and I was forced to listen while hoping the journey end soon.
he said my motto is to just make money and live happily, well thats what I was doing before you asked me about match fixing and american drone attacks. I dont blame you for what your country or someone in power from your nation did. so why do I have to answer your stupid questions?

2 days ago I dropped somebody and was planning to move and look for another passenger. before moving my car I always look into the side mirror and back mirros so I dont accidently run over any body. I noticed an indian guy. I didnt want to take him becoz seeing a familiar face lead them to ask so many nonsence questions and poking stuff so its better to avoid. but I could see in my back mirror that he was limping. I have one simple rule. never ignore some body with any kind of disability or older peoples coz not many other cab drivers are willing to take them. when some older peoples or disable person is getting in my car I always put the gear into parking and tell them "take your time, no rush" coz I can understand and dont want them to be uncomfortable and try to hurry just because mr cabbie will say something harsh.
so I took that indian guy. he came to my window asked me how much to hoboken I told him 45 plus tolls. he thought for a while and said ok.
the asked "why you guys charge so much?"
Me: "becoz we cant pick some body in jersey"
him."will you make it 50 even?"
me "no I cant"
I usually charge 50 plus toll so its 58 I get tip on top of that so its always 65 and some change. he was asking to knock another 3 buck while it had already 12 knocked off.
him,"where you from?"

Armageddon
Armagedon is coming. those were the worlds of my passenger who got in the cab. I asked him how so?
he said, well you know weather is crazy and changed and so is the world and peoples. so something big is going to happen. now I thought to my self may be he read something about the new world is going to end in xxxx year. like y2k and now 21st december 2012 or may be he watched movies like knowing or 2012 so I asked him are you talking about 2012?
he said I dont know but something big is happening and soon we will see.

Confused and making you confuse
new york city has aroun 8 million peoples and its the biggest mixture of peoples from different back ground race nationalities and countries. so a few ppls learn english fast and a few learn it slow. some fluent enough and some not so good at speaking their hearts out.
so I had an old french couple from jfk. they told me 0000 st in brooklyn. I asked them address and they said remsen between 0000 and 0000 I asked them again and they handed me a piece of paper. it read

i was glad some body asked them to print this paper out and hadn it over to the cab driver but was even more pleased with that little word "many thanks" cab drivers care about being respected the most.
this reminds me of 2 more incidents well both of them are bad, One I had to fight in TLC court will write about later on but the second one was again from jfk and it was a russian old couple with most probably their grand child

once at his destination he didnt pay me. went out and knocked the trunk so I poped it. since he was an old man helped him unloading all of his luggage. he came back and asked me how much?
me: 42 dollars.
him: how is this much?
me: I dont know its on meter.
him: I am not going to pay this.
me: what?
him: I am going to pay you 10 dollar less.
me: ok listen either pay this money or call the police, you will pay this money and meter will keep runing if you wait for police and still you will pay me my money.
him: why call police? becoz you did wrong?
me: I didnt do anything wrong you gave me wrong directions now what you wana do pay or police?
he handed me a 100 dollar bill and said I dont have change so break this. I know some time peoples really dont have change so I dont mind breaking bills as long as I check them I checked the bill and gave him 58 dollars back. with no tip and thanks he went his way and I went back to jfk. do I need to mention it was my frist job around 4 on a friday afternoon?

so sweet
I got 2 couples they were going down town. on their way one of the girl from the rear seat told his boy friend that he should call his sister, he called and put it on speaker. it went straight to voice mail.
the sweet part of the voice mail greeting was that the girl (my passenger' sister) and her boyfriend had this greeting saved together like they would say a few words after each other. like
girl: hi this is jenny
boy: & greg
girl: we are not available
boy: pls leave us your name & number
girl: and we will get back to you as soon as possible
boy: thanks
but even sweeter part was that how my passenger and his girl friend wished his sister a happy birthday they did the same one sentence after each other and then said happy birthday together.

We Stay Here
Today was no different. taxi dispatchers were wasting our time on terminals and finally moved us to terminal 4. I saw a guy in between passengers. you know the line where passenger line up to get into a cab? well he asked 2 ladies about manhattan and I thought to my self oh another poor fellow want to share a cab. but then he moved on to the next one and I was boiling. he was asking every body any one manhattan? now this should be ban. that man was stealling our bread and butter may be he was with nyas bus or watever bus he was from but this is way too much. I yelled at him hey excuseme what are you doing but apparently he couldnt hear me. I came out of my car to talk to him but luckily for him dispatcher told me to go upfront and take the passenger. It was a spanish family going to upper west side. 150s and broadway. and as soon as they got in the car they tried to give me $50 buck and I sighed :( well you know why no tip? if you dont kno atleast 9 dollar tip is appreciated to and from jfk. you make the day if its $11.25 or more. :d
but the girl made my day was another spanish girl. now if you have driven in the city a little you would have noticed spanish girls even though having little know how of english language love to party. they want to hang out so was the case with these 2 spanish girls and a guy. they wanted to go to times square. Shower of Antifreeze
Last monday when I was at oil change mechanic had to put a whole gallon of anti freeze into the radiator. I asked him is it leaking? he said no its been hot so it vaporated. but no it wasnt the case. it was indeed leaking, yesterday I around 3:15 I picked up some body from 57 street going to Kenedy Airport. after driving a block I noticed ac wasnt cooling. I turned it off and turned back on but it was same. I quickly glanced over the heat sign and it was on hot. I quickly parked my car rite there on 57th street and told my passenger they needed another cab.
I cracked the radiator cap a little to fasten up the cool down process. After a few more minutes I made the ultimate mistake. I knew never to open the cap but I thought after a few minutes its ok to loosen the cap a little more when with a bang the cap flew to the middle of the road and anti freeze cam showerin up and then down all over the engine. I was saved by the grace of the god be mere a second. luckly the anti freeze didnt touch any part of my body.
later on mechanic told me that he had seen severe burns on different drivers who did the mistake as mine. my room mate told me that never to open the cap if engine is not running. always start the car and then remove the cap.
so waited there. called a friend and asked him to bring me some water & anti freeze so I dont have to tow my car and can just drive it to the mechanic. finally after 40 minutes I was able to start and take it to the mechanic. He told me that the fan had also stopped working so they put a new fan and fix the leak. since I had blown away the radiator cap & mechanic didnt have any so I went to buy one.
I later had one more over heat car coz of the broken cap. I cooled my car down again to fill it again with coolant and replaced the cap. every since Its working fine and yeah ac was supertb so I learned that always keep an eye on the coolant in radiator.
well the good thing happened it did wash away all the dust off under my hood.

"I am a bitch", said a jfk taxi dispatcher.
this past week was worst week ever, no not in term of finances but every day some body did something to make me upset and while it wasnt my fault.
an african american dude took me to brooklyn all the way near queens on atlantic ave. when we were there meter read 21 dollars. he gave me 21 and said usually its $17 so I was going to give u $4 tip here its 21. n I was yeah whatever.
today a british acsent girl took me to brooklyn her fare was $36.30 she knew the local ways well so she wasnt new she gave me two twentty dollar bills and when I didnt hear the door opening noise. I looked back she had her hand stretched. when I was counting she said $4 is fine. I said you mean $3? she said oh yeah 3.
enough bitching about passengers. some time I cant decied I am cheap for crying about tips or the passenger was not paying me? though I noticed now more and more of jfk passengers are giving only $5 tip seems economy really is having another down time.
when you come up bowery going up north at coper sq you have two lanes going up north towards 3rd ave and 2 lanes going towards 4th ave. I was on the middle lane waiting the signal to turn green to go to 4th ave. when a 60+ guy in his old car yelled passing by me to stay in your f*** lane. apparently he had lived all his life in nyc and didnt know there were two lanes.
now down to the number one bitch dispatcher viett (at least she yelled/spelled for us at terminal) this bitch said and i quote " i am the bitch they love"
I got a ticket to terminal 7 after wasting our time there they sent us to terminal 5. when I reached it. I saw two african americans by an indian driver and dispatcher telling something to driver. when I came there he quickely sent them to me. lady came and said. "you know days inn brooklyn?"

dispatcher came and said," man take them to days inn brooklyn."

I got out of my car and told him,"either go and give me the address out of your book or let me talk to your superviser."
now this male dispatcher backed off a little coz he was just acting smart and knew we are not suppose to know the addresses our selves.
this female dispatcher came and said "another one? another one? another one." then she went hysterical and said "no passenger go to cth they are not coming here go to cth"
i tried to talke to her but she said " i am the bitch they love"
now the indian driver pulled out coz he saw me going towards my car while all I was going to do was to park right beside him to block cabbies behind me so no one goes through until TLC or who ever comes to take care of this woman & us. sadly he pulled out but the female dispatcher still going on loudly " i am the bitch you gotta learn the math" n i was like what math? while all the passenger looked at her amazingly.
long story short I had to go to cth told them they printed me another ticket went back to that bitch. and got mine passenger. that woman really did wasted 39 minutes of my time. later on I felt so much bad not taking out my camera and making a video of her and taking her to TLC court. but cth did say that if you have a complaint there is a building to go and report it

Sapphire Strip Club
I was stopped at a red light on park ave when a guy approaced me. when ppls try to come to my window I tell them to hop in I dont chose n pick, I take where ever they want but he wanted to say somethin so I rolled down my window. He started speaking abt sapphire club and how they are paying 10 dollars cash on the spot if you take a passenger to them and he gave me 4 entry passes with a free drink each.
I know some ppls told me that gentleman club used to give 5 dollars if you take a passenger to them. so this was not new.
so folks you know it now. if you have a desperate passenger take them to saphire club and get 10 dollar cash. thats a good tip yeah? i think its location made them do it. its on 60th street between 1st ave & 2nd ave.
i do pick up some folks but they are never during summer, they were all in winter and they wanted to go to a club, I didnt kno so I asked and took them to marytime on 17th & 9th ave. later on I found out the whole west village is kind of like that. east village to me is more like eat out and have fun kind of place for me.
I am not going to use those passes, so anyone in need hop on in. :d

Worst Day of Job
Today was the worst day of job, I missed gay prade again, no no I m not gay but I wanted to see what they look like, are they normal peoples or what?
anyway my friend brought an iphone from somewhere and wanted me to upgrade it to ios 4 then jailbreak it and then unlock it so he can use it with t-mobile. so I wasted 2 hours on that iphone before going to work.
went to JFK. got a fare in half an hour but those were 2 spanish speaking ladies going to affinia garden on e64 st. they gave me no tip. next while a friend of mine was getting a lot of job I didnt get any until e28 st when a guy wanted to go to LGA, took him and fare was $25.57 he only gave me $25.00 I didnt say anything as I did tell him what was the amount but he seemed cheap. (he was an indian guy)
anyway next was a 4 feet tall girl going to 7th ave & prospect ave in brooklyn who told me to take BQE to Prospect expy exit and she will guide me from there. once I took the exit we had this conversation.
ME: OK what exit now
Her: (Holding her friend on the phone) yeah
ME: You wana take next exit?
Her: (again holding her friend) Go straight its gona turn into prospect expy
ME: its gona turn into ocean parkway so you want to go straight to that?
Her: (holding her friend one more time) Yeah
ME: Miss this is 7th ave above us do you want to go to 7th ave or you wana go straight?
Her: (holding her friend yet another time) Yeah
Now I was fed up but saw her looking through the front so I told my self straight she said so straight ahead it is when near church ave exit she said, " i think you passed it I told you to take that exit."
Now when ppls act like that I keep quite and go back without saying a word coz its not worth it to argue. but once I took e5th st she asked me, "sir where are you going?" I replied, " back" Now e5th becomes one way opposite there so I had to take e3 to go around when she said, " sir why dont you use your gps." I said, "ok" then she told her friend, " THIS GUY IS TAKING ME FOR A RIDE."
I braked rite there, slowed down my car turned and told her, " No I am not taking you for a ride I asked you many times you were on phone and for each of my questions you said yeah, now yeah isnt directions." she said, "but I told you to take 10th ave exit." she lied and made me a little more fraustrated. I asked, " did you hear me telling you its gona become ocean parkway you wana go straight and you said yeah." she said, " no i didnt hear that." now I was like then how its my fault? you were on the phone not me. you told me to go straight without even listening to what I said.
anyway I turned off the metere rite there told her to pay. in the mean time she had ended her call to pay full attention to where I was taking her. she paid 2 dollar tip on top of 35 dollar ride. now who was taking the other for granted? I dropped her at her house and said good bye but she never apologized but yeah she went real quite. and didnt raised her voice or tune.
next I was fed up enough and was hungry to decided to take a break I went to JFK again. after a while got a job. a couple sat in. girl told me I am going to crown plaza on north conduit. I asked her if she had the address and she said no but go to north conduit and I will tell you.
once at the place where you can take either north conduit or belt pkwy or local road to hotels I asked her so go to north conduit? she said yes. on norht conduit I asked now where? any of the motels here on the side. I was like no god not another one. how in the hell they changed from crown plaza to any motel? I asked do you have any address so I can put in the GPS? she said no so I quickly took out the crown plaza address out of the book and entered into gps while parked in a residental area, once I was off to crown plaza when the girl said ok take us to sheraton on south conduit. I was like what the hell? now you are changing again so I asked in a calm tone. are you walking in? she said yes so I stoped again and started looking for sheraton jfk while I heard the guy its right across the street if you cant find it let me drive. I told her that I need an address so let me find via my iphone since I cant find it in the book. I did and went inside. now if you have been to that sheraton thats the worst one. you have no choice but to drop passenger off road. they dont have a drive way. once there guy jumped out while she told me pls dont stop the meter he has gone to check if they have a room available. finally in 3 minutes he came back while she paid me 5 dollar tip on top of 15 dollar fare.
next was the guy from jfk to hilton garden on w26 who talked a lot wanted me to rite off a reciept for $55 as his job was paying for the ride. and my day ended coz I had to buy some water and do an oil change and afterwards was so uneasy to work anymore and came home around 12 midnight.
anyway my friend brought an iphone from somewhere and wanted me to upgrade it to ios 4 then jailbreak it and then unlock it so he can use it with t-mobile. so I wasted 2 hours on that iphone before going to work.
went to JFK. got a fare in half an hour but those were 2 spanish speaking ladies going to affinia garden on e64 st. they gave me no tip. next while a friend of mine was getting a lot of job I didnt get any until e28 st when a guy wanted to go to LGA, took him and fare was $25.57 he only gave me $25.00 I didnt say anything as I did tell him what was the amount but he seemed cheap. (he was an indian guy)
anyway next was a 4 feet tall girl going to 7th ave & prospect ave in brooklyn who told me to take BQE to Prospect expy exit and she will guide me from there. once I took the exit we had this conversation.
ME: OK what exit now
Her: (Holding her friend on the phone) yeah
ME: You wana take next exit?
Her: (again holding her friend) Go straight its gona turn into prospect expy
ME: its gona turn into ocean parkway so you want to go straight to that?
Her: (holding her friend one more time) Yeah
ME: Miss this is 7th ave above us do you want to go to 7th ave or you wana go straight?
Her: (holding her friend yet another time) Yeah
Now I was fed up but saw her looking through the front so I told my self straight she said so straight ahead it is when near church ave exit she said, " i think you passed it I told you to take that exit."
Now when ppls act like that I keep quite and go back without saying a word coz its not worth it to argue. but once I took e5th st she asked me, "sir where are you going?" I replied, " back" Now e5th becomes one way opposite there so I had to take e3 to go around when she said, " sir why dont you use your gps." I said, "ok" then she told her friend, " THIS GUY IS TAKING ME FOR A RIDE."
I braked rite there, slowed down my car turned and told her, " No I am not taking you for a ride I asked you many times you were on phone and for each of my questions you said yeah, now yeah isnt directions." she said, "but I told you to take 10th ave exit." she lied and made me a little more fraustrated. I asked, " did you hear me telling you its gona become ocean parkway you wana go straight and you said yeah." she said, " no i didnt hear that." now I was like then how its my fault? you were on the phone not me. you told me to go straight without even listening to what I said.
anyway I turned off the metere rite there told her to pay. in the mean time she had ended her call to pay full attention to where I was taking her. she paid 2 dollar tip on top of 35 dollar ride. now who was taking the other for granted? I dropped her at her house and said good bye but she never apologized but yeah she went real quite. and didnt raised her voice or tune.
